What NestMate is

NestMate is a compatibility-first roommate discovery platform. It helps you find and connect with people you might want to live with, based on lifestyle, budget, and location. By creating an account, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

What NestMate is not

NestMate is not a property rental platform, a broker or listing aggregator, a PG management system, or a hotel or short-stay booking service. Any optional room listing you post must be a room you actually have — not a property you're advertising on someone else's behalf. Brokering and spam are against our Community Guidelines and grounds for a ban.

Your account

You must be at least 18 years old to use NestMate. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Use your real name and photos — impersonation and fake profiles are not allowed. One account per person.

Verification has limits

NestMate currently verifies email addresses and phone numbers, and shows verification badges based on that. Verification is a trust signal, not a background check or a safety guarantee — NestMate does not conduct criminal background checks on users. You're responsible for exercising your own judgment, including meeting in a public place first, before deciding to live with someone you met through the platform.

Your content

You own the photos, bio, messages, and listings you post. By posting them, you grant NestMate a licence to display that content to other users as part of operating the platform (for example, showing your profile photo to people browsing Discover). We don't sell your content to third parties.

Suspension and termination

Accounts that violate our Community Guidelines may be suspended or banned. If you believe your account was banned in error, you can submit an appeal. You can delete your own account at any time from Settings.

No fees today

NestMate is free to use. We don't process rent, deposits, or any other payments between users, and we're not a party to any tenancy or living arrangement you enter into with someone you meet on the platform. If we introduce paid features in the future, we'll update these Terms first.

Disclaimer and liability

NestMate is provided "as is." We do our best to keep the platform safe and available, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service or that every user is who they claim to be. NestMate isn't liable for disputes, damages, or losses arising from interactions or living arrangements between users — those are between you and the other person.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as NestMate changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continuing to use NestMate after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
